The Solution

The solution introduced redirect-based OIDC/OAuth authentication and secure token exchange between Okta and existing .NET services, maintaining downstream authorization and application functionality.

York managed the extraction, profiling, mapping, and migration of legacy user identities into Okta. Data normalization, reconciliation, and phased migration strategies helped preserve existing user relationships and reduce risk during production cutover.

The engagement also included modernizing web and mobile authentication workflows, registration processes, session management, and account lifecycle functionality. Enterprise-managed multi-factor authentication and role-based administrative capabilities were incorporated to strengthen security and simplify identity management.

To support long-term operations, York delivered migration runbooks, technical documentation, troubleshooting guidance, and knowledge transfer. The implementation leveraged Agile Scrum methodologies, microservices architecture, micro front ends, and test-driven development practices.
