As we leaned into those conversations, it became clear that this was not an isolated issue. Many of our clients operating in India were experiencing the same frustration. We are building a model that delivers blended IT talent solutions across global teams, while maintaining the same standards our clients expect. There is also a practical advantage. Expanding into India allows us to offer more flexible and cost-effective approaches when clients are managing complex programs with tight budgets. That flexibility matters, especially in today’s environment. None of this came easily.
Building York India meant starting from the ground up. It meant creating structure, process, and culture in real time. It meant training new teams while actively delivering for clients. It also meant holding ourselves accountable to the same level of excellence, even as we moved quickly. Communication was one of the biggest challenges early on. Time zone differences, language nuances, and the natural friction of onboarding new teams all had to be worked through. There was no playbook. We had to figure it out as we went. What made the difference was consistency and presence.
Frequent touchpoints became essential. Daily conversations between leadership teams created alignment and trust. Our account executives adjusted their schedules to create meaningful overlap with India-based teams. And perhaps most importantly, in-person engagement accelerated everything. Each trip to India created more progress in a week than what could be achieved in a month remotely. Face-to-face interaction built clarity, trust, and momentum in a way that virtual communication alone could not.
Within the first three months, the India operation scaled to match the U.S. business in both job volume and monthly placements. Since then, growth has continued at a pace that is difficult to overstate. The team has more than tripled in size in just a few months. Production, delivery speed, and candidate quality have all improved significantly. This level of growth does not happen by accident. It is the result of strong leadership, intentional hiring, and a willingness to invest early. Looking ahead, the opportunity is significant.
York India is still in its early stages, but the trajectory is clear. The team is growing, capabilities are expanding, and the impact on our clients continues to deepen.
