Incident Analyst II

A direct client of York Solutions is in need of several Incident Analyst II resources to work onsite in their Operations Center located in Denver, CO. This client is unable to provide sponsorship at this time; therefore, you must be eligible to work on a contract-to-hire basis without requiring any sort of sponsorship. 

Ensure that production technology services remain reliable through effective event, change, incident and problem oversight, and control within the Integrated Operations Center. Administer system maintenance and configuration based on work direction given by senior level business partners. Act as a technical incident, change, problem, and project owner and assist senior team members with larger projects or systems. Responsible for operation and maintenance of existing systems and/or network infrastructure. Collaborate with users and technical teams to assess, prioritize and respond to incidents, systems monitoring, and problem analysis. Assist in deployment of new systems and/or network infrastructure. Role includes duty management to provide effective coordination and communication for priority 1 incidents. To perform those functions, this role includes scheduled, on-call assignments.

Essential Responsibilities:

Incident and Problem Resolution – Investigate and resolves incidents and problems involving complex systems and/or networks of systems. Provide problem identification for production incidents. Identify and implement solutions to production incidents. Identify and resolve production alerts. Provide support for systems testing and validation activities. Participate in and contributes to problem reviews.

Communications – Clearly and concisely communicates operational status to IT management and the impacted user community whenever requested. Actively participates in regular status meetings. Prepare written status reports and responses to customer inquiries. Participate in routine meetings/communications with support teams.

Collaboration – Collaborate with business partners companywide. Build and establish trusting relationships with vendors.

Technical Support –Understand and maintain operations documentation for critical applications, integrations and the business processes. Analyze systems requirements and performance to optimize systems. Develop scripts and automate routine tasks. Create artifacts and workflows to support communicating current process and changes. Assist with the identification, investigation and solving production problems.

Incident Support – Provide basic contextual and technical information to users. Assist users in identifying difficult technical problems and devising solutions. Advise users on available approved technologies. Work with users to translate user requirements into technical solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience
- At least two years of increasing responsibility in systems and/or network infrastructure support, or equivalent technical education
- Demonstrated strong business and technical acumen
- Basic knowledge of one or more core technologies
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and effectively apply learning
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Requirements: 

a) This position has on-call requirements and expectations. Personnel must be willing to work within assigned rotational schedules

b) Three years of experience in event, incident, problem, and change analysis and management 

c) Support experience spanning diverse IT disciplines such as computer platforms, operating systems, virtualization, networking/TCP/IP, storage/data protection, web applications, databases

d) Ability to coordinate, collect and analyze technical forensics and isolate root cause for service interruptions 

e) Familiarity with tools and techniques for operational monitoring and process scripting

BI Analyst

York Solutions is currently seeking an experienced BI Analyst for one of our clients in the Minneapolis area.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven and also have a deep understanding of relational databases. This position will also be responsible for end of project deliverables and documentation.

Needed Experience:
- 5+ years as a BI Analyst (Banking industry preferred)
- Experience being the liaison between ETL and Hadoop Developers
- Strong SQL Experience (Stored Procedures, Pivots, Tables, SQL Statements)
- Experience building out data models - Source to Target Mapping
